Green Smoothie

This formula is open to as much creativity as you like, or keep it basic. Don’t get hung up measuring – it’s an eyeball-er. (Does that sound gross? You know what I mean.)

1 cup fruit – mango, pineapple, kiwi, peach, cherries, banana
1/2 cup berries – fresh or frozen, mixed or single
2 cups greens – spinach is the most subtle
1 tablespoon nuts or seeds or avocado (*certain important nutrients are only available in your body when there’s a little bit of fat for them to grab onto)
to taste – flavoring like mint leaves or cinnamon or vanilla
1 cup water or ice
unroasted, unsalted walnuts, almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, ground flax seeds, chia seeds, unsweetened coconut, avocado
