Date Caramel Puree

10 or 15 pitted Dates (soak them in a few tablespoons of water for a couple of hours, or even overnight).

Puree in a food processor or blender, stopping to scrape along the way. Add a little water, a teaspoon or two at a time, to keep it moving. Careful not to add too much or it’ll end up liquid-y.

Keep the puree in a container in the fridge and use it on toast, stir it into oatmeal, add it to a smoothie or iced tea/coffee, or eat it on apple slices.
